AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that defies conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes echo through the darkness." The storyline presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.
The mission centers on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Material
Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
